SAAT (TIME AUTOMATION)

Time automation

Clocks and time are two important things in daily life. Time is of the essence, from setting appointments to doing usual daily works.

Time is a valuable asset and clocks are important tools for being aware of time.

It has been centuries that clocks are part of human life. The World’s oldest sun clock, Dial of Ahaz, remained from the ancient Egyptian Empire was built about 1500 B.C. and it reveals the fact that they were aware of the importance of time and clocks.

We don’t intend to discuss how clocks do work but talk about their importance in daily life. We use clocks to plan to pursue our goals and achieve them. This planning can be about our jobs, ideas, thoughts, and many other things that matter in our lives.

Precise time in the time automation

Many countries have a network of atomic clocks in their national standard agencies. Normally, the precise time is received from these atomic clocks; their precision is 9-10 seconds a day (almost 1 part in 1014) and they are kept synchronized.

Receive and distribute the precise local time

A master clock is a device that uses a GPS antenna to receive time from GPS satellites, which receive time from atomic clocks. Master clock converts the time to the local time and standards protocols like NTP to send the time to other recipients like time displays.

SAAT Engineering Co. (founded in 2000) is a producer of Master clocks and displays, using EBU and NTP protocols.
