An important matter in digital transmitting stations of Radio and Television is to monitor the transmitter’s status and signal quality; in case of any failure in signaling, operators get informed immediately and fix the problems. Our Digital Transmitter Monitoring analyzes the quality of input signals, and besides, it receives the status and properties of the transmitter and checks the operation.
Normally, the format of the digital audio and video for transmitting is TS (MPEG Transport Stream). Therefore, the input of digital transmitters is usually some signals with TS formatting that each signal is a combination of several TV and Radio channels. Our product receives, checks, and analyzes TS signals compatible with H.222 standard, and provides a quality report.
A digital transmitter works constantly and consists of different parts like amplifier or transmitter. Any weakness in the power or failure in any section disrupts the signaling and affects the quality of content audiences receive. This product grabs the transmitter’s state and properties using SNMP protocol, and then analyzes them, logs the events, and generates appropriate alarms if needed.
