SADRA Server

SADRA Server

SADRA audio/video monitoring system provides users with various functions: receiving an unlimited number of TV/Radio channels from different resources (antenna, camera, …) at the same time, displaying them, and storing management. Some outstanding abilities of this system are automatic/manual record of the inputs, archiving, and keeping the records.

Improving

The main goal of the SADRA system and its connected applications (SADRA Server) is providing a complete solution and a concentrated convenient environment for monitoring multiple TV channels, scheduled recording, and archiving. It provides live access to all inputs even those which are being recorded.

Compatible

Today, because of the huge amount of satellite TV channels, using the technologies for streaming TV channels over local area networks seems to be a necessity. SADRA Monitoring system, compatible with SAMA Archive and video editing systems, facilitates editing and refining recorded videos in SAAT productions or any other application.

Unlimited

SADRA server receives several TV channels using only one hardware card and then records and archives them with the original quality. By using more cards in a computer set, tens of TV channels can be recorded. Thus, the SADRA server is unlimitedly extendible to receive and record any number of TV channels. SADRA Servers are now being used on so many sites to record hundreds of TV channels.

Features and facilities:

  • Up to 8 selectable inputs
  • Supports DVB-T/T2 and DVB-S/S2 for inputs
  • Live-streaming each input in the LAN
  • Inputs are stored with their original broadcaster quality and based on the defined timetable
  • Inputs are streamed in the LAN with HTTP and UDP protocols
  • Selectable filing method (time-base or size-base)
  • Simultaneous users’ access to different channels
  • Scheduling for automatic recording
  • Manual recording available for users
  • Monitoring several channels on a large screen using the Video Wall application
  • Playback of a video while recording
  • Controlled access to resources for users
  • Archiving the recorded files for any period
  • Lower costs by omitting receivers and cabling
  • Flexible, user friendly, and easy to install
  • Stable and robust against signal noises
  • Supporting encrypted channels
  • Offering multicast stream
  • Non-stop working (24×7)

SADRA Monitoring family includes:

  • Reception server for digital channels: DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, DVB-C/C2, and…
  • Reception server for SDI videos
  • Mosaic generating server (fixed and dynamic mosaics)
  • Video Wall application
  • Review application
  • IP-Recorder server
  • EPG Grabber application

1- Reception server for DVB-S/S2 and DVB-T/T2 channels

SADRA Server is a specialized computer for a 24*7 operation that contains several cards for digital TV signal reception. Each input on this server is adjusted on one transponder (including frequency, V/H, and …) and so it can receive all channels on that transponder. In this way, one SADRA Server receives too many TV/Radio channels. The input channels are streamed through the LAN and so many users can select and watch them at the same time,

Features:

  • Multiple parallel servers can work alongside in the same monitoring system
  • Storing the received inputs without quality loss and with the same quality of the broadcaster
  • Created files in SADRA Server are compatible with usual common video editing tools and applications
  • Inputs are streamed in the LAN with HTTP and UDP protocols
  • Reception of terrestrial channels (DVB-T-T2), satellite channels (DVB-S/S2), and cable channels (DVB-C/C2)
  • Scheduling for automatic recording based on channel, date, and time
  • Selectable filing method (time-base or size-base)
  • Supporting encrypted channels (optional)
  • Up to 8 inputs on each server
  • Grabbing the EPGs and generating a file out of them

Usages:

  • TV program production
  • Rebroadcast for TV channels
  • Monitoring department of companies and industries that advertise on TV
  • Video news gathering units
  • TV advertising companies (for finding new ideas)
  • Public relation departments (for researching the news coverage or the programs of their institution)

2- Reception server for SDI

This server is a specialized computer for a 24*7 operation that contains hardware cards for SDI (SD/HD) TV signal reception. The received videos are streamed through the LAN and recorded in pre-defined paths. Users in the local area network can receive and watch these inputs.

Features:

  • Selectable storing format: MPEG2 or MPEG4 (H264)
  • Selectable protocol for output streams: HTTP, UDP, RTP, and …
  • Up to 8 inputs on each server

Usages:

  • High quality rebroadcast for TV programs
  • Recording with appropriate quality for TV and video studios
  • Receiving the videos from non-digital resources and streaming them in the LAN
